Refugium Macroalgae Plus Pods Starter Package

Refugium Macroalgae Plus Pods Starter Package

Description: Create a successful refugium with our Refugium Macroalgae Plus Pods Starter Package. There are a lot of good reasons to incorporate macroalgae, copepods and amphipods into one’s marine aquarium system. The macroalgae's will remove the excess nutrients such as nitrates and phosphates that build up in the aquarium water. By keeping the aquarium water low in nutrients nuisance algae's such as Bryopsis and Valonia are unable to grow. Macroalgaes are also the perfect addition to saltwater aquariums for fish. Low nitrates help keep the aquariums fish healthier with a longer lifespan. With the macroalgae growth, it can also serve as a good food source for hungary Tang's, Angels, etc. And the increasing population of copepods and amphipods provides a food source for corals, and fish including sea horses, mandarins, and many more.
