What's So Special About Shipping?
Our fish go through a specialized acclimation and quarantine process that allows them to be in peak health when they are ready to be shipped to our customers. Great care is taken to protect your live order. All live purchases are double
bagged (one fish per bag) with oxygen, and securely packed into an insulated cooler. Each bag is labelled on what it contains. Heating or cooling packs are added as necessary to ensure safe travel. Before packing up every order, we review the actual weather conditions in the destinations zip code using weather forecast from the National Weather Service to optimize the packing specific for your marine life's trip to your home.

How are marine life orders shipped?
All marine life orders are shipped via UPS Priority Overnight Air. That means in most cases you will receive an early delivery.
How do I know when my order is shipping out?
The day your order ships, you will receive an e-mail from UPS, typically in the evening, containing your UPS tracking number so you can make arrangements to sign for
your order when it arrives. If you do not see an e-mail from UPS with your tracking number in your inbox by evening, please check your spam/junk folder as the e-mail may have been accidentally
sorted into the wrong file, a common occurrence that can be avoided by adding UPS's notification e-mail address to your address book.
Can we ship to an address outside of the continental USA?
We ship to Alaska often, the charge is an additional $30.00 per box. Most orders are only 1 box. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship out of the country including Canada and Mexico. Hawaii, APO addresses, post office boxes, hotels, Puerto Rico,and other U.S. Territories.
Why Do I need to sign for my delivery?
All orders, be it livestock or dry goods, require a signature upon delivery. We want a signature on your delivery to prove your order wasn't left outside in the hot or cold. If you would like to waive this requirement, note that any livestock guarantee is void without exception and we must receive an e-mail before your order is shipped at orders.aquariumcreationsonline@gmail.com stating that you authorize delivery without a signature and that you understand that doing so voids all guarantees. If you are unable to sign for your delivery, please arrange for another party to be present to receive the ahipmwnr or to have it held at the authorized UPS holding facility of your choosing.
Is it possible to to have my order held at a UPS holding facility by my home?
Absolutely! To reduce the stress on livestock, and as a convenience to our customers, Aquarium Creations endorses the use of qualified UPS holding facilities as your shipment destination. However, you must provide us with the correct address of your preferred facility as your shipping address. Follow this link to find your nearest UPS Customer Center. (Be sure to search only for UPS Customer Centers as they are the only UPS facilities that guarantee they will hold marine life.
What Happens If a Storm is forecast for your state?
If it is determined that the weather is too hazardous the shipment will be delayed until conditions improve. This can be poor weather such as snow in your area, it can also be poor weather in the edEx Air Hub where your order is flying in and out of. In either case it's best for the good of the marine life to delay shipping just until conditions improve.
What Happens If the Temperature is Extreme When my order is ready to ship?
Aquarium Creations uses excellent Insulated coolers, heat packs, ice packs, and thermal wraps which together do an excellent job at keeping marine life at very specific safe temperatures. But when temperatures go to extremes, below around 30 degrees or above 95 degrees we find it more difficult to keep the shipment at its optimum temperature. If it is determined that the temperature is to extreme for being out in the cold or heat on a UPS delivery truck, you will be asked to provide an address for your closest UPS Customer Care Centre at which the shipment will be held for pick up. Please note that choosing not to provide a UPS holding facility when temperatures are extreme will hold up delivery of your marine life until we feel temperatures are at a safe level for a normal UPS delivery.
Are Saturday deliveries available for marine life orders?
UPS offers Saturday Next Day Air delivery, but not all zip codes qualify for this service. There is an additional charge of $20.00 per box for all Saturday deliveries. If you desire a Saturday delivery, please be sure
to select the appropriate shipping option at checkout and then request also request Saturday delivery under the special comments section when checking out. To find out if Saturday delivery service is available in your area, please visit UPS.com.
Are There Shipping Charges for large orders or for shipping Large Fish?
Yes there are. We ship each species in a large enough bag to get the fish healthy landed in your hands.
This requires a large amount of water weight and a larger box size to ship the order out. Since Aquarium Creations pays the first $60.00 of the shipping charge
the amount of shipping the customer pays is only the UPS amount over the $60.00.
Here's an example: Mr. Apple's order was $500.00 so he gets free shipping up to the $60.00 credit. His actual final UPS shipping charge was $71.00,
therefore the shipping charge he will pay is $71.00 - $60.00 = $11.00. This charge will be a separate credit card charge when your order ships.
It will not be on the initial order receipt since the final UPS shipping cost is not known at that time.
If you wish to know this charge in advance please email and we will do the best we can to get the final charge for you.
What do I do once my livestock order arrives?
To ensure the well-being of your new arrivals, we advise you to review our acclimation procedures as soon on our website as soon as possible. That way you are completely informed to the differences in acclimating livestock that have been in a bag for up to 24 hours versus livestock picked up at your local pet store and acclimated within an hour or so. Please follow the steps outlined carefully as acclimation procedures differ for some creatures. Our website instructions are likely somewhat different from those provided by your local supplier because the stress that travelling can put on livestock requires a more attentive process for acclimation. A proper acclimation is the surest way to give your new aquarium inhabitants long and healthy life.

Free Shipping is based on the net purchase amount of Marine Life ordered after all discounts, out of socks, coupons and store credits.
