Description:
The Jedi Mind Trick Montipora is considered one of the most spectacular Montipora varieties in the hobby. Its sea green body color is accentuated by an intense violet growth edge and hot red polyps. Also called a Vase coral by some, montipora corals come in many colors and grow into the most beautiful shapes. The Mind Trick Montipora grows in an encrusting form until it reaches the edge of the rock, where it will begin to plate out horizontally. Aquacultured Montipora Undata are one of the easier SPS corals to grow and maintain. They grow fairly quick in an established reef aquarium.

Lighting
This coral requires moderate lighting (PAR 200-300) (at least 3 watts per gallon), to maintain its color. T5's, Metal Halides, or LED's can all grow sps when the proper levels are provided. We recommend a 14-20K color spectrum for best coloration.
Placement
.Place this one on an exposed area of rock or ledge in the aquarium where it will receive direct flow and light. Montipora Undata will grow beautiful into the most beautiful shaped colonies.
Diet and Feeding
This coral is photosynthetic. Meaning a good portion of its nutrition comes from the algae zooxanthellae, through the light they receive. We recommend additional feeding weekly for faster growth. Feed a micro-plankton reef aquarium food designed for filter feeding invertebrates. Target feeding gets the corals fed using less food while keeping your nitrates and phosphates lower.
